Who this covers

This policy explains how the website at funfestmillbasin.com handles information. In it, "we" and "Funfest" mean Funfest Mill Basin Bowl, 6161 Strickland Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11234.

It covers the website only. Anything you tell us on the phone, by email or in person at the bowling center is handled the way any small business handles a customer conversation: we use it to answer you, take your booking or plan your party, and we do not add it to a marketing list without your say-so.

Information you give us

None, through this site. The site has no accounts, no checkout, no online reservations and no newsletter sign-up.

You will see contact and gift card forms on some pages. Those fields are laid out for a future release and are switched off — their buttons are disabled and the page is built so that nothing is transmitted even if a browser tries to submit them. Every page that shows one also gives you the phone number, because calling is the only way to reach us right now.

If that changes and the forms are turned on, this policy will be updated before they go live to say what is collected and why.

Information collected automatically

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare records the requests it serves — IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the date and time. This is what makes it possible to deliver the site and to defend it against attacks and abuse. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages people find useful — for example, whether visitors are looking at party packages or league schedules. It is a deliberately privacy-preserving tool: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device or browser, and cannot follow you to any other website. What we see is counts — page views, referring sites, rough country-level location, browser and device categories — never an individual person.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. It does not use local storage, session storage or any similar means of keeping data in your browser. There are no advertising pixels, no remarketing tags and no cross-site trackers, so there is nothing here to consent to or opt out of.

Third-party content on our pages

Two things on this site are loaded from other companies' servers. When your browser fetches them, that company receives your IP address and basic request information, exactly as it would if you visited their site directly. We do not send them anything about you beyond that.

• Google Fonts — the typefaces used throughout the site are served by Google.
• Google Maps — the Contact page embeds a map. It is governed by Google's own privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy. If you would rather not load it, the street address is printed on the same page in plain text.

We also link to our Facebook page. Following that link takes you to Facebook, where Meta's policies apply, not ours. Simply having the link on our page sends Facebook nothing.

How we use what we have

• To deliver the website and keep it available.
• To protect it against attack, abuse and fraud.
• To understand, in aggregate, which pages are worth improving.

That is all. We do not use it for advertising or for automated decisions about you.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. The only companies that touch data from this site are the service providers named above, acting on our behalf to host the site and count page views. We would also disclose information if the law required it, or to protect the safety and rights of our guests, our staff or the public.

How long it is kept

Server logs and analytics are retained by Cloudflare on their standard schedule and are not exported or archived by us. We keep no separate database of website visitors, because we do not collect one.

Children

Funfest is a family business and children are welcome at the bowling center. This website, however, collects no personal information from anyone — children under 13 included. We have nothing to delete, but if you believe a child has somehow provided information to us, call us and we will look into it.

Your choices and your rights

Because we collect no personal information through this site, there is normally nothing to access, correct, download or delete. If you live somewhere that gives you rights over your personal information and you want to exercise them, or you simply want to know what we hold, call (718) 763-6800 and ask. We will not treat you any differently for asking.

If you would like to block analytics anyway, any content blocker or privacy-focused browser will do it, and the site will work exactly as before.

Security

The site is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection, with strict transport security and a content security policy that restricts what may run on the page. No system is perfectly secure, but since we collect no personal information through this site, there is very little here to lose.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles information — most likely by turning on the contact forms or adding online booking — we will update this page and change the date at the top before the change takes effect.
